Life in Chicago
Now living in the Edgewater district, on the North side of Chicago. I've been here for 3 days now, and slowly getting adjusted. I've ran every day, to get use to what's in the area. I start school in June, at Harold Washington College. I will be going for my Associates in Applied Science degree. I hope to work on base some day, in the substance field, and help military members get on the right track, and live a healthier lives. As for benefits, I applied for my 9/11 GI Bill, which pays 100% tuition, and fees, along with 1,000 per year, for books and supplies. Including a basic housing allowance of 1,600 per month. Even applied for the Illinois Veterans Grant. I'm looking forward to this start, and also where it will take me in the future. Cost of living is a lot different than Hawaii, but I do have a interest in moving back, once I get my education.
