Raven-Symone Slams Story Claiming Bill Cosby Assaulted Her

Raven-Symone is speaking out against a story that ran on a parody news site claiming Bill Cosby molested her when she was a child actress on The Cosby Show.


The parody news site Hip Hop Hangover ran a story this week stating Symone had filed molestation charges against Cosby.

"I was NOT taking advantage of by Mr. Cosby when I was on the Cosby Show," Symone wrote on her Instagram account Wednesday.  "I was practically a baby on that show and this is truly a disgusting rumor that I want no part of! Everyone on that show treated me with nothing but kindness. Now keep me out of this!"

Symone, 28, played Olivia from 1989-1992 on The Cosby Show.

Cosby is facing resurfaced allegations of sexual assault, which have prompted NBC to scrap a planned series, Netflix to "postpone" a comedy special, and TV Land to pull repeats of The Cosby Show. Cosby has denied the allegations through statements from his reps and attorneys. The most recent allegation came Tuesday from former supermodel Janice Dickinson, who alleged Cosby raped her in 1982.

Running apparel startup Janji helps fund clean water initiatives in Africa, Peru, India

Brookline-based Janji is a running apparel startup with a lofty mission that goes beyond profit: to help people in underdeveloped countries get access to clean water through the sale of its clothing. To date, the startup has raised $50,000 since its founding in 2010 for global clean water initiatives in Africa, Peru and Bangladesh, with India on the horizon next spring, and is continuing to launch new e-commerce projects to help solve the crisis. Janji's latest social project aims to raise $500 to help a water sanitization project in rural Uganda in partnership with Washington, D.C.-based Evidence Action. As part of the project, an original Janji shirt design is available exclusively from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2. If 50 shirts are pre-ordered, about a quarter of the proceeds will help sanitize drinking water for about 300 Ugandan residents through Evidence Action. "This is a trial run and our goal is to try to help our customers in the running community feel closer and more connected to these projects we're working on," said Mike Burnstein, co-founder of Janji. The project, which Burnstein hopes will be the first of many, can also act as a "lab" to test different designs, Burnstein said. The project is currently about halfway funded. Janji sells its apparel through its website and in about 100 running stores around the country including City Sports. The company has raised $450,000 to date from undisclosed owners of top running stores in the country and angel investors since its founding in 2010, Burnstein said. Niacin


According to a study published in theJournal of Sexual Medicine, niacin, or vitamin B3 – found in chicken, fish and grains — may help men with erectile dysfunction if they also have high cholesterol. The results indicate that the men in the study, who had moderate or severe erectile dysfunction, reported an improvement in their ability to maintain an erection after taking a niacin supplement for 12 weeks. The initial dose was 500mg niacin taken nightly to ensure that they had no adverse side effects from taking the vitamin. The dose was increased to 1000mg daily and then to 1500mg at week six, if tolerated, and then continued until the end of the study. The most common side effect was skin flushing and itching. Further studies are warranted.

Signs of Low Testosterone

As the human body ages it not only changes physical appearance but also the internal functions start to express differences. Hormone production starts to deteriorate and our overall health starts to show decline. By the age 30, men are more likely to see symptoms of low testosterone and in turn struggle with various symptoms caused by low testosterone. Testosterone is responsible for the stimulation of sperm production, muscle development, bone mass and also sexual desire. When there is a sudden drop of testosterone production a range of complications and symptoms may become apparent. In most cases, low T is mistaken for common aging; but low testosterone could in turn be the common cause of many aging health ailments.

Common Symptoms of Low Testosterone

When an individual is trying to determine if they are struggling with common aging or low testosterone, there are several warning signs to look for. The following are signs and common symptoms one could experience with low testosterone: Low sex drive – testosterone is the key player when it comes to a males libido. The desire to participate in intercourse decreases and in some instances it becomes more difficult for the male to achieve an orgasm. Erectile dysfunction – even though testosterone doesn’t create an erection on its own, it does stimulate the overall sex drive. When sexual stimulators stop producing nitric oxide that triggers erection, low testosterone becomes linked to erectile dysfunction. Low semen levels also can be a counterpart of erectile dysfunction and low T. Low energy/fatigue - those struggling with low testosterone have reported repeatedly they experience extreme fatigue and a decrease in energy levels; even when sufficient sleep was being acquired. Muscle mass loss – testosterone plays a major role in the development and strengthening of muscle. Low T becomes apparent when an individual is experiencing a decrease in muscle mass; especially in arms, chest and legs. Rebuilding muscle mass also becomes more complicated over time. Increase in body fat mass - men with low testosterone are now not only struggling with low muscle mass, but the increase in body fat. There is no clear reason as to why the decrease in testosterone causes weight gain, but it continues to be a common symptom within men with low T. The following are several other symptoms of low testosterone: •Emotional complications (ie. mood swings, depression, irritability, sadness, lack of focus) •Hair loss •Decrease in bone mass •Genital numbness •Shrinkage

Exercise That'll Make You Faster

Ass to Grass Overhead Squat (OHS) WHY: Trail runners need a lot of power—through a large range of motion—to run fast and efficiently. This is especially true when the terrain heads uphill or is very technical, requiring maximum agility. The overhead squat is a time-tested exercise requiring full-body range of motion. It takes some practice to get the OHS right, but there is no better exercise to encourage maximal gluteal and hamstring activation. You will gain strength and neuromuscular power you could never hope to achieve on a squat machine or with a typical half-depth standing squat. HOW: Do this with a partner to help analyze your form, if possible. Stand with heels as wide as shoulders, toes pointing slightly out, and arms overhead, elbows locked. Squat down as low as you can, encouraging gluteal contraction, and keeping your back as straight as possible. If you can't do a full squat at first, hold on to something stationary at shoulder height. Start by doing three sets of 10 this way, and work up to doing three sets of 10 with your arms overhead.
