Watching the sunrise at Kathy Osterman Beach

Watching the sunrise at Kathy Osterman Beach (Hollywood Beach) never gets old. It's very peaceful, and also a great place to clear the mind from negative thoughts.

Tinman Triathlon

Went with my Superman singlet, for Tinman Triathlon. I got many cheers while running on the course. It will definitely be something that I will wear again for a race. Our team came in 1st place, once again in the team division. Good times! Another great memory!

Rugrat On Wheels

First training run, turned into a speedy race! A speedy race, with a young skateboarder. The little "Rugrat on wheels" provoked me! Provoked me, by looking back, more than once. I picked it up, after he looked back the second time. I looked back, and he was gone : )

Freedom 5k/10k

Ran the 5k, and came in 2nd overall. I ran a 18:29 on this course. The last time running it, I ran a 18:55. The only difference in my training is I added a lot of stair, and hill workouts. I also completed two track workouts, two weeks prior to this race. Go Honolulu Runners Club!

One hundred and thirty some back

One hundred and thirty some races back, I fell in love with running. I registered for my first marathon (2007 Marine Corps Marathon), curious to run one after reading a article on Dean Karnazes. At the time, he was doing the fifty marathons in fifty different states, and I figured why not do one, since he is doing fifty. I fell in love with the environment, while training. After my first few races I was addicted, and it also got me away from base (Henderson Hall) Arlington,VA. That's how it all began for me, and still running strong.
