Describe the perceptual, cognitive, and language skills an infant will acquire in the first 2 years of life.


In the first two years, perceptual development involves learning the affordances of objects, the constancy of objects, and depth perception. Cognitive development includes the beginning of understanding of categories, object permanence, memory skills, and cause-and-effect reasoning. Language development includes babbling, holophrastic speech, two-word speech, and larger combinations of words
